How to Manually Uninstall Classic Shell from the Computer
Method one: You can remove Classic Shell follow the steps below:
Before applying this manual removal guide, please backup your system files. Unless you know what you are doing, do not modify anything in the Registry Editor other than what is instructed here. One mistake would delete the important system file. Please be careful.
Step 1. Stop Classic Shell running process in Window Task Manager.
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or press the Start button, type "Run" to select the option,then type "taskmgr" and press OK > find Classic Shell and click on it > click the End Processbutton.
Step 2. Uninstall Classic Shell in Control Panel.
Click Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program.
Method Two:Uninstall Classic Shell by its built-in uninstaller
Step 1. Close Classic Shell and its associated program.
Step 2. Click Start menu and then go to "All programs".
Step 3. Find out Classic Shell on the list and then choose the uninstall option in its directory.
Step 4. There will be a message that wants you to confirm the removal of Classic Shell. Click “Yes” to finish it.
Clean remnants of& Classic Shell
1. Click Start menu, click Control Panel and click Folder Options.
2. Click View tab and tick "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)".
3. Click Apply and OK to save the changes.
Step 2. Delete its associated files.
Step 3. Delete its associated registry entries.
Hit Win+R keys and then type regedit in Run box and click on OK to open Registry Editor.
Warm:Classic Shell is quite nasty and stubborn, you cannot be too careful to distinguish its harmful files and registries from the system files and registries. If you know what you are doing, do not modify anything in the Registry Editor other than what is instructed here. One mistake would delete the important system file. Please be careful..
Step 5. Reboot your computer to take effect.
